Re: TMC 2130 Love-Hate Relation
Correct, at 250ma it just did nada....(but vibrate).. So I've been playing with this now for some time running the 2130, then back to the 8825, Playing with the current on the 2130..up..down..playing...
View ArticleCorrect calculation for TMC2100 vref
Just a quick question, what is the correct formula for working out the vref? I have 2 stepper motors wired in parallel and I am having trouble with them (posted here [reprap.org]). I see a few...

Without going into great details. I will show you what my stepper settings are. X, Y, E0 and E1 are all 0.695 on my 12 volt 3D Printer X, Y, E0 and E1 are all 0.395 on my 24 volt 3D Printer Now the...

ok I will go with that. What is the 8 in the formula?

Quoted from Texas Instruments SLVA443 "In order to setup Microsteps, full steps must be divided. Each full step is then divided into eight smaller steps. It is an industry-standard practice to use a...

I would doublecheck if it isn´t partly due to the slicer, and would try out KiSSlicer which I found to be pretty good.

Hello evryone. Today I tried to change a4988 VREF, but I turned the potentiometer too far, so I don't know how to set 1.2v again. Can you help Me? Thank you.

You can't turn the potmeter counterclockwise? If the wiper is blocked you can turn it 350° clockwise to achieve a 10° CCW correction.

Hi Fivefold, I use Ruramps 1.1 and I can not get the LV8729 to go. What do you mean by "inverting the enable pin signal when switching from A4988s"? Could you tell me how to do it?
View ArticleRe: MKS LV8729 , a 128 µStep Driver // Any test?
If you mean ramps 1.4 all you need to do is get the drivers the right way around, check carefully if they're the wrong way and you power it up it will fry your ramps and arduino and probably the lv...

Don't buy DRV8825 or TMC21xx drivers. They can give you a headache when you're unexperienced. There are drivers with 1/128 microstepping, but AFAIK they require rewriting/reflashing the firmware (...

So I just add the titan aero to my printer. I am using TMC2100 as the driver and went to test it out. All I got was the sound of a loud vibrating motor. Then I realised I hadn't adjusted the vref....

DRV8825 is known to skip usteps at low speeds which creates weird artifacts in curved, printed surfaces. If you switch to DRV8825, get some diodes... do a search- this topic has come up a thousand times.

Ok I will look into that. Is there an alternative to the DRV8825
View ArticleRe: Stepper driver for titan aero extruder
Installed the DRV8825, problem now is that the motor tries to turn (I see a twitch) and then stops. Not motor vibration like before. I set the vref to 0.672 at first which was at 80%. I then upped the...
