Hi All
I have a Melzi Board on my Mendal and want to swap the extruder drive stepper motor for a linear actuator stepper motor to drive a syringe.
I have found a bipolar motor which is rated at 2.33v and 1.5A (1.5A per phase....).
My question is, will my Melzi board deliver enough current to drive this new motor?
I'm not sure whether the board will be overloaded or not.
Are both phases of a bipolar stepper motor ever active at the same time (which would mean 3A being drawn... which is probably too much for the Melzi).
Any help gratefull recieved.
Thanks
